Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke

Father God, Your servant was faithful to You, drawing multitudes to You. He experienced Your emotion of joy-filled love amidst the Golden Harvest Fields.  In honoring those who have gone on before us and for the sake of Your Holy name, let us be found faithful as You guide us into the love of Your heart – Your Golden Fields!!!

“And all these, having gained approval through their faith,

did not receive what was promised,

because God had provided something better for us,

so that apart from us they would not be made perfect.”

Hebrews 11:39-40

The angels are singing

There is such “electricity in the air.” The faith of believers world-wide is alive as Evangelist Bonnke is mourned for his passing and celebrated for his love, integrity, and faithfulness to his family and to the name of God. Could it be that the atmosphere and humanity are responding to the reverberation of the song of angels singing; causing a global awakening of faith, as Brother Bonnke receives his reward? Yes, I believe so.

Fruit of the vine:

Wherever Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke and his teams watered the earth with the Word of God, living seeds are now awakening. Lord, may we bend our knee and listen, hearing the sound of heaven’s response as Your servant has come beyond the veil. Son of the Living God, You are worthy of Your inheritance. 

“Truly, truly, I say to you,

unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies,

it remains alone;

but if it dies, it bears much fruit.

“He who loves his life loses it,

and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal.

“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me;

and where I am, there My servant will be also;

if anyone serves Me,

the Father will honor him.”

 John 12:23-26

An Evangelist’s place of empowerment and  commissioning is at the Table of Remembrance

As millions ponder the passing of Evangelist Reinhard Bonnke into Glory, I cannot but think of Paul’s instructions to eat of the Lord’s Supper.  It is the One who carried out this meal within His flesh and first initiated this meal with His friends, who enabled the work of Evangelist Bonnke. Such a glorious harvest, the fruit of his Redeemer’s sacrifice. Christ’s life story is broadcast through the airwaves; represented and proclaimed, every time we partake.

“For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus in the night in which He was betrayed took bread; and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, He took the cup also after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you broadcast the Lord’s death until He comes.”

Corinthians 11:23-26

For the sake of Christ’s inheritance

The voice of God Himself is erupting through the nations, sounding His Will through the lifeblood of His Son’s testimony. I believe we are in a Kairos epoch of time where no cause is as crucial as the children of God hearing the sound of His voice coming forth like a trumpet, and responding to His opinion. He longs for His Son to receive His inheritance in every nation; along the corridors of government, in hearts of His people, and the incoming Harvest Fields.  

The commissioning of the harvesters of the harvest

Yes, He’s looking for our heart response, which takes place at the edge of the “Well of His presence.” A response which returns the attention to His name. Yes, it’s true we have been in preparation for such a moment in history. Forget what lies behind, press forward  (leaning on Your Beloved)  towards the mark of the upward call of God in Christ.

“Do not call to mind the former things, or ponder things of the past.”

Isaiah 43:18

“Who is this coming up from the wilderness

Leaning on her beloved?”

Beneath the apple tree, I awakened you …”

Song of Songs 8:5

“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 3:14

Let’s hold on to the hem of His garment as we find the path to His heart – directing us amidst the Golden Harvest Fields – where Father’s emotion is the hidden treasure.
