He is so much more …

… but a beginning description we will create …

“Who is Holy Spirit?”

She asked.”

He is the Breath and Spirit of God.
He is the empowering force of heaven.
When the earth was formless,
Holy Spirit was the “womb;” encompassing and keeping it secure until the Godhead was ready to reveal creation again.
He is our Teacher, and Comforter.
He proclaims the mighty acts of God.
He is the One who seals within us the identity of God.
He is God.
He was from the beginning and will be into and throughout all of eternity.
He is the Great ‘I Am’.
He is One with the Father and Son; They the One True God.
He is The Spirit of Holiness.
He manifests as Fire, Water, and Breath.
He empowers.
He speaks.
His sound is the highway releasing heaven to earth.
Through Him the supernatural is delivered, transforming that which is natural.
He is not measurable; He is beyond time, space, and matter.
He is Spirit.
He is the character of God.
He convicts the conscience.
He is the mantle of God on us;
bestowing wisdom, counsel, strength, understanding, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord.
He delivers our life blueprints designed by God to us.
His winds move throughout the heavens and earth delivering the thoughts and plans of God.
His waters carry the breakthrough,
His winds deliver ministering spirits to equip us,
His Fire purifies us.
He carries the emotion of God’s love towards us; surrounding us with the love of God,
for God is love.

Faith in God and believing who He says He is, is important.  This opens the opportunity for us (humanity) to love Him and to exercise Isaiah 61 in “real time.”  His Holy Spirit enables us to steward what He has given us.  Cultivating this in our spirit until we see the reality of “demonstrations of power” active in our daily lives, is the journey. Isaiah 61 is a picture of what He has enabled us to do through His Holy Spirit.

“The Spirit of God, the Master, is on me because God anointed me.

He sent me to preach good news to the poor, heal the heartbroken, announce freedom to all captives, pardon all prisoners.

God sent me to announce the year of his grace—a celebration of God’s destruction of our enemies—and to comfort all who mourn.

To care for the needs of all who mourn in Zion, give them bouquets of roses instead of ashes, Messages of joy instead of news of doom, a praising heart instead of a languid spirit.

Rename them “Oaks of Righteousness” planted by God to display his glory.

They’ll rebuild the old ruins, raise a new city out of the wreckage. They’ll start over on the ruined cities, take the rubble left behind and make it new.

You’ll hire outsiders to herd your flocks and foreigners to work your fields, But you’ll have the title “Priests of God,” honored as ministers of our God. You’ll feast on the bounty of nations, you’ll bask in their glory.

Because you got a double dose of trouble and more than your share of contempt, Your inheritance in the land will be doubled and your joy go on forever. “Because I, God, love fair dealing and hate thievery and crime, I’ll pay your wages on time and in full, and establish my eternal covenant with you.

Your descendants will become well-known all over. Your children in foreign countries Will be recognized at once as the people I have blessed.”

I will sing for joy in God, explode in praise from deep in my soul! He dressed me up in a suit of salvation, he outfitted me in a robe of righteousness, As a bridegroom who puts on a tuxedo and a bride a jeweled tiara.

For as the earth bursts with spring wildflowers, and as a garden cascades with blossoms, So the Master, God, brings righteousness into full bloom and puts praise on display before the nations.”

Innocent As A Dove

When Christ instructed us to be “as shrewd as serpents and as innocent as doves,”  in the presence of wolves (false teachers and prophets), He was affirming our identity as sons and daughters.  The confidence to walk this instruction out is rooted and built through one on one studies with the Dove.  He equips His own. (Matthew 10:16)To be shrewd implies the ability to make future decisions and to carry out plans based on wisdom. This wisdom is activated through the wholeness of soul (the mind, emotions and will) and spirit. Historically the word shrewd related to and was expressed through the “seat of intellectual and spiritual activity. The diaphragm was known to determine the nature and strength of the breath and hence also the human spirit and its emotions.”

The Lord is asking us to be shrewd: To be infants in evil, but to grow up into maturity in our thinking. (1 Corinthians 14:20)

The outlook on life is not meant to be decided based on human nature (flesh). A healthy outlook on life and decisions are formed when my mind is set on the Holy Spirit. The outcome will be life and peace. (Romans 8:6)

This means that Spirit (God) to spirit (me) interaction will produce incredible life! It is by and through Him that wholeness will become a reality within. He is in the business of restoring us – building us up to be beyond what we could ever think or imagine. There is only One God. He has created us to be pretty incredible people (1 Corinthians 2 – meditate on this).

Wolves in the New Testament represented false teachers and false prophets. The aim is to break down and diminish truth by sharp “teeth bites” penetrating the flesh. Enough of those penetrated bites will rip a lamb to shreds.  Our ability to discern truth will come from time well spent in the presence of our Supernatural Teacher – God and His Holy Spirit. It is through determined time spent with God that our hearts will heal, our intellect will mature, and our decisions will be wise.  This wisdom gained is the “shrewdness” needed to withstand an attempted battle of biting lies.

Consider marking up your calendar with appointments with God. Slotted time with Him is critical. Even more important than slotted times for gardening, manicures, conference calls, dinners out, work outs, and etc… Yes, yes all those things are wonderful and necessary BUT consider your spirit and soul well being. AND consider that He is our #1 Teacher,  all other mentors, Kingdom mothers and fathers, coaches, etc etc fall second to the One who “alighted on us” as Dove. THE Dove is in the business of producing doves. We are those doves made in His image.

A Passing Thought, For All of My Girlfriends

A Moment of Cheerleading

Sarah Guppy of the late 18th century and early 19th century was 15 times over inventor during a period in time when female inventors were rare. She invented the coffee maker which used the access steam to boil eggs; as well as, to reheat toast.

Thinking about her caused my thoughts to travel …. again … A cheerleading moment …

Rebekah, the wife of Isaac, agreed to marry a man she had never met.

Leah struggled with eyesight and wasn’t 1st choice as a wife. She became one of Israel’s founding mothers.

Zelophehad’s 5 daughters lost their father and became bold enough to change the women’s inheritance laws of the land.

Rahab lived in a town surrounded by war and a people who trusted in stone and wooden gods. Her shrewd ways saved her family from great loss and even more, death. She as a mother, made way for her son Boaz to be in the generational line of King David and Jesus Christ our Messiah.

Ruth lost her first husband to sickness and drought. She was courageous enough to leave a region where stone images were bowed to, while cheering of the killing of children was common practice. She became a mother in the generational line of Christ, and daughter in law to Rahab.

Deborah, lived in a village where life was boring (described in the Bible as “ceased”). She was prophetess and judge of her nation. She preferred to be titled, “Mother of Israel.” She led her nation into battle and won.

Abigail lived a life of misery married to a wealthy drunkard. Her great wisdom and gift of peacemaking made a way for her to become wife to the King.

Rizpah, the wife of Jonathan, bore a son who later had a painful accident becoming crippled for life; he was invited to eat at the King’s table and for his entire lifetime was cared for by King David.

Hadassah, an orphan, became Queen of Persia.

Magdalena was possessed with seven demons. She was delivered of this torment by Jesus becoming one of Christ’s best friends. Being first to see Him post-resurrection, she was chosen to be the “face” of the “new Eve.” Jesus’ love for her and for all of God’s daughters is evident as she not only traveled with Him but is pronouncement’s glorious picture of the deliverance of all women then empowered to rule with Him.  Within that Garden moment, her embrace of the Tree of Life was a declaration that the snake had lost its grip, and God declared as her forever Rabboni. She, the first one ‘sent out’ from the Garden of His tomb, ran carrying the message of our Resurrected Christ. One once filled with demons was now empowered with dominion rulership.

Joan of Arc, born into poverty and an illiterate teenage became a warrior and military leader.

The list goes on …..

There is no lock powerful enough to keep doors sealed shut which God has opened for His daughters. Let’s make a difference wherever we find ourselves.

Uniqueness is found in a woman who is courageous enough to be who she is meant to be in the face of opposition. Be yourself and give yourself permission to become, fail, and to get up again.

God is worthy of witnessing the fabulous display of His Glory shining from within His daughters. He is in love with us. Make Him proud!! You are meant to come out of the desert leaning on your Beloved.

Much love

Identity formed at the 3am hour

Jesus received “God infusions” from His Father daily (at 3am) which reminded Him of His identity, refreshed and strengthened Him, and revealed His daily assignments. Anything He needed to know for that days work was given to Him then….. I can just imagine the love which flowed from His Father into Him – that alone would give anyone the sustainability to run up the Himalayan Mountains.

This was the place and time where He had access to the ONE who IS. Above ALL things He IS!

Humanity was created to exemplify the life of Christ. The cultivation of our identity is important to us, God, and impacts everyone around us. If we have not gone to God to find out who we are, and to receive all that is necessary to succeed in life, where do we find our identity and confidence?

If we have placed the defining of who we are into the hands of humankind than we have set ourselves on an unseen roller coaster ride ready be tossed daily by the opinion of voices.

Consider this. Respect yourself (if you haven’t already) and honor God, for He made you. Honor Him by accepting the appointment time with Him. Find your “3am hour” whether it is noon, 4pm, or 8 and enjoy the interactions awaiting you.

God embedded in you will reveal the most beautiful image. God’s identity, exemplified through us is unshakeable. The only thing that shakes off is the counterfeit which has held on long enough …. If this is for you … We look forward to meeting YOU – the real YOU!

Remember, we become unstoppable at each revealing of our “real You in Him.”

Let’s bring up Deborah for a moment…

The biography written about Deborah’s glorious feat places her as a citizen of a people living in 20 years of oppression. The King at the time was an intimidator, using 900 iron chariots to keep the people of Israel subservient to his rule. Deborah, known as a prophetess and judge sat under a Palm Tree where men would stand before her; seeking wisdom and a just verdict.

This “normal” everyday woman found unbelievable courage because of her communion with Her Creator. She believed in His existence. She engaged Him daily. She yielded to His best for her. She allowed Him to form her beauty;  and in so doing, she as ordinary yielded to the revealing of the depth of her extraordinary reality…

If Deborah had not cultivated her times with God, she would of never been able to carry through the resistance and be used of God to bring those 20 years of a hellish existence to a stop.  It is honor to God and self to invest in cultivating a “daily pattern” of drawing away from the noise and speed of  “man-made time,” receiving from God His opinion and Holy Spirit infused identity.  Deborah’s cultivated identity as a deliverer was used to deliver her people into freedom.  Let’s receive the awesome reality of God. He loves to adorn His daughters for the Victory!

[I found this photo: This is on Mount Tabor. This arab village man and I are overlooking the village of Deborah. This mountain is where Deborah instructed the General of her army to come and meet with her before the war of victory. (ps. my friend took 5 of us up here to spend the day…a nice memory]

For the love of His Scrolls

Oh my goodness!

If I could obtain a copy of the Bible in scroll format it would find a healthy home right next to my bed. It would be the last thing I touched every night, and first thing I looked at every morning. (I hope that doesn’t offend anyone. I know the traditional and honorable thing to do is to keep the Scrolls in a special cabinet. I guess that could be done.) Anyway

God gave us the antidote for the tough questions and answers in life, and for those found etched within the scrolls of His Word…. He said, “It is the glory of God to conceal a matter, and the honor of kings to search it out.” Hunting time is all year long when it comes to searching for the hidden treasures.

We as God’s family cannot edit doctrine motivated by self opinion, wounds, offenses, nor based on a specified personal stage of life. We must ask for the strength to stand for truth based on every Word which proceeded out of the mouth of God. True Christianity is not for cowards, its for the one who will ask for courage to embrace the truth. Painful at times? Yes. Hard to answer questions? Yes. Unable to figure out sometimes? Yes.
At each stage of personal growth we find that God shows us another facet of the hidden treasure. The way He designed our “Life School” is an incredible expression of His love. He gives us lessons of His Word in bite sizes. Every facet of the diamond is one perspective of His treasure.

As we remain committed to learning of His ways, we will realize that even as “the Word of God is pure, like the seven fold refining of silver; so too we will have learned seven dimensions of the depth of understanding for each truth found in scripture. Which dimension are you at? I think I’m on the first. Maybe 2nd on some truths…maybe?

Persistence is key. There is nothing boring about Christianity nor about “the gift of the hunt.” So keep those hunting boots on and dig deep for the gold infused stones used for building the foundations of His Kingdom.

Psalms 12: 6 says,

“The Words of the Lord are pure words.

As silver tried in the furnace on the earth,

purified seven times”

You and I can trust God and His ways. It takes a champion to embrace the truth. He has us covered. We are all champions, if we dare to tap into that part of our DNA. After all, we are all created in His image.

Psalms 18:30 says,

As for God, His way is blameless.

The Word of the Lord is tried;

He is a shield to all those who take refuge in Him.”

His written scrolls are the shield which we need for life. So lets get behind our shields and run the race with confident celebration that He has given us all we need to exercise the right to turn on the search light and hunt for truth.

Word – 11

Seed=>

“God spoke: Earth, green up! Grow all varieties

of seedbearing plants,

Every sort of fruitbearing tree.

And there it was.

Earth produced green seed-bearing plants,

all varieties,

And fruit-bearing trees of all sorts.

God saw that it was good.

It was evening, it was morning—Day Three.”

Genesis 1:11-13

God will provide, show us, lead us in the hunt to find the field in which we are to create His dreams — our dreams. He will also provide the seed (thoughts – ideas) for conception so that we can ultimately bear fruit–life that remains…

ps. There was going to be a need for nurturing what was in the earth and what was in the atmosphere… for the land could not survive without water of the oceans, and the oceans cannot be held in place apart from the clay of the earth holding it’s borders in place.

The earths soil would need moisture…the place of facilitation needed the right amount of pressure, moisture, and salt for preservation. All of this provided by the Creator of the created. The Lord knew the balance needed of each ingredient for the earth to experience life.

The Lord knows the right balance of ingredients for our dreams — His dreams to succeed.
