Part ONE

This is Jezreel Valley from atop Mount Precipice. It is believed that Mount Precipice (located in Nazareth, Israel) is the location where the locals of the day were so angry with Jesus that pushing Him off the edge of the cliff was their only recourse to subdue their rage. BUT, of course, they could not control Christ’s destiny. They did not succeed. He past right through them.

For a short while now, a memory keeps on coming back. This memory is of an experience that took place in 2015 while in Nazareth, Israel. Nazareth hometown of Jesus; as well as, the location of Luke 4. While a few of us were together experiential understanding made Luke 4 so clear to me,  that the only true recourse was for me to submit to the holy fear which was “gripping” me. What happened was, there was a confrontation going on right in front of my eyes in the realms of the Spirit. The incredible life flow of favor evident in someone’s life versus the gnashing jaw of jealousy.

Christ in His communication was describing to me, through visual language, how raw envy and raw jealousy was a demonic spirit now trying to hurt this individual. I was face to face with this demon. Holy Spirit, my Teacher,  was allowing me to “see” and “feel” the actual entity of jealousy itself; how this very demon was the one that was “at play” during the time of the threat against Jesus. It was pride’s jealousy–vile anger which desired to throw Jesus off the cliff, and in that same way desired to throw this person off the course of greatness through arrows that were poised to be shot. This spirit hungered to remove this person from the place of favor.

The demon of jealousy and envy in its quiet or heightened state repeatedly leads one down an ill-gotten path. This path, being the death of someone or something that is amazing. Yes, death. Death caused by murder. Yes, murder might not always be carried out with a tangible weapon but can be carried out by an unseen force often ignited through emotions followed by actions.

This unseen weapon activated by resentment is not only pointed at the object of one’s jealousy but is also aimed right back at the one who is battling and/or hosting jealousy itself. Demons are no respecter of persons; hence, it’s the presence, if received, spreads its ora and venom to anyone who will submit to its bidding. “It” is bitter rage, filled with raw hatred for humanity. Anything that is beautiful and full of life is in direct line of jealousies reaction.

“Murder of what?” one might ask. Well, jealousy will literally attempt to kill, shut down, or silence the strength, goals, anointing, destiny, “rod-budding” favor, life, success, the purpose of God — heaven manifesting on earth that is found within the one who finds themselves “in time with God.” Within those moments of “begrudging a sister or brother,” life will often be choked into silence; for True Life (Jesus) will not try to make room for Himself. True Life will always prefer another over “Himself.” While He was on earth His Love would “pass through the crowd” instead of attempt to receive accolades, defend Himself, or display His strength. It wasn’t yet His time.

Jesus, while in Nazareth, was entering “His Time” of professing His identity. Jesus did this in a location (synagogue) which should have been His “safe place.” But it wasn’t. As a response to their forthcoming resistance to His reading, He went ahead and prophesied what the consequence of the town’s response to this breakthrough moment would be. They were so enraged, blinded by self-righteousness and jealousy that their minds could only fathom one way of dealing with their inner turmoil, and that was to kill the object of their heightened emotion. They could not see that He was the fulfillment of prophecy spoken centuries earlier, and the subject of the Torah reading for that day (Isaiah 61).

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me Because the Lord has anointed Me. To bring good news to the afflicted; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to captives. And freedom to prisoners; To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord…” Isaiah 61

The illuminating truth that another’s moment of favor
is actually an art piece of God’s identity may be an antidote enough.

The enlightening reality that the breakthrough of someone else
is truly a demonstration of beauty found within God’s Palace
maybe healing enough.

The lightbulb moment (removing the shadow) which reveals the understanding
that; demonstrated through the object of one’s envy,
is the expression of God’s creativity formed through His heart, hands, and thoughts.

As the love of God rains down in the form of grace, our hearts will gladly yield to the fear of God released.
The realization sinks in deep,  that the very one being resented
is the WILL of God.

In all honesty, usually, the one we are jealous of is the one who carries Christ’s resurrection power meant to raise something within us that lost it’s life a while back — a treasure for the one struggling. In all truth when we allow jealousy to rule, we are killing the living fabric which we are called to be a part of. We not only rob the one we oppose, but we are robbing ourselves of the opportunity to celebrate another person’s triumph and identity; and in so doing, life is choked out, interrupting the flow of destinies ink which is meant to be read by the one opposing.

Lucifer was so jealous of God’s place on the throne that he blinded himself from realizing that he was already so close to God. His prideful covetousness caused him to lose all that was given to him by God his Maker. I don’t think Cain ever saw the fullness of who he was meant to be. He was too envious of his brother. He didn’t realize that it all was an issue of the heart. Abel was carrying a revelation that would benefit all those around him and millions of people that would live after him. Cain killed the carrier of his breakthrough. Nazareth wanted to do the same–kill the carrier (the answer) of Israel’s desperate plea for help. The very one that is the object of jealousy may be the very one who carries the key of deliverance.

If Esther’s peers were jealous of her and hurt her they would have injured the very one who was born to deliver them from the grip of Haman. If Aaron was jealous of Moses returning home, he would have killed the one chosen to rescue millions. If Barak was jealous of Deborah he would have lived in defeat and not seen the victory. If Eli was jealous of Samuel and kept him out of the tabernacle he would have missed spending time with his successor. If Caleb was jealous of Joshua would he have been given his mountain? If Magdeline was jealous of Mary would she have gone with Mary to the gravesite or stayed back forfeiting the honor of being the first to see the resurrected Christ? If Elizabeth was jealous of Mary, she would have forfeited being the very one to comfort and assist the very Mother of her Redeemer. But she didn’t and in turn through her obedience taught her son John that, “Christ must increase, and I John must decrease.”

Let’s visualize this from one more window. Mount Precipice is right there, overlooking the Jezreel Valley. The Jezreel Valley was home to Ahab and Jezebel. Jezebel was the biggest threat to God’s prophets. Elijah was the subject of Jezebel’s anger. She was jealous of Elijah because of his standing with God AND was a constant reminder that God opposed false gods and her way of ruling in the land. She hated the testimony of God to be sounded near her. In God’s amazing Grace and Mercy, He gave Jezebel time to repent, but she determined in her heart not to. She wanted things in her time and in her way. She wanted to lust after power through selfish ambition instead of submitting to God Most Powerful. She didn’t carry the heart of John the Baptist, when he said, “A man can possess nothing except what is given to him from above.” She took what was rightfully not hers.

I have found that stopping long enough to take a step back, and breath in the love of Jesus Christ is a good way of realigning to Love. This helps one to see Truth. This helps one rethink posture and position. We are positioned with God in heavenly places. We are postured in the arms of our Father and invited into His house.

Remember earthly positioning will come through our Creator–our moment comes in His way. Just wait a minute, because all pieces must be in place before one is brought on the scene. It’s God’s protection and wisdom. The friend of the bridegroom (John the Baptizer) said, “A man can receive nothing unless it has been given to him from heaven.” John 3:27. (I’ve included, at the end of this article, the spontaneous prayer of repentance and declarations which took place during the meeting where this message was shared. Please feel free to join us in this exercise.)

To posture oneself in the love of the Father releases His strength in us, revealing His opinion so beautifully. To watch as He is involved in another’s moment of favor is priceless. His love empowers us to,

“Let love be without hypocrisy.
Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good.
Be devoted to one another in brotherly love;
give preference to one another in honor….”
Romans 12:9-10

“Carry out love by, being patient. Be kind. Do not be jealous.
Do not brag or be arrogant. Do not act unbecomingly.
Do not seek your own. Do not be provoked.
Do not keep track of wrongs done to you.
Do not rejoice when you see unrighteousness.
Be happy when you see the truth demonstrated.
Bear all things. Believe all things. Hope all things. Endure.”
1 Corinthians 13

“The one who loves his brother abides in Light
and there is no cause for stumbling in him.”
1 John 2:10

If you are one who in some measure feels jealousy and rage coming against your person, allow this to be a time of blessing the one who is struggling (Matthew 5:44-45). Allow this to be a tool in God’s hand to further form you. Allow the Lord to be your defense. Walk in the opposite spirit. Walk-in grace.  Show kindness–irresistible love. Exercise that action of drawing closer to the Groom during this time. Just remember if this moment of intensity wasn’t taking place, there would be another “event” permitted to come close to you with the intention of shaping you further, with the tool like iron which sharpens iron. So rejoice in the midst of a trial such as this.

If you are one who is dealing with the issue of jealousy, stemming from being afraid of being left out, abandoned, rejected, anger, etc… If any of this rings true to you, this season is truly a gift from the Lord. It is time for this spirit to stop its harassments against you. Freedom is available and beautiful. The celebration of life is on its way. You are deeply loved by the One who said, ” You are My beloved, and My desire is for you.”

Part TWO

Let’s take this a little deeper, with an example — a prophetic picture of how the Lord released the earth from this spirit which injured humanity a long time ago.

Remember how Cain was given land to til, while Abel was given sheep to shepherd? This land was outside the garden.  By the sounds of it, the land had come to the point of producing fruit. Remember, Eve and Adam had to cultivate the land when first thrust out of the garden. The fact that Adam and Eve’s cultivation worked is evident from the fact that Cain gave an offering from the fruit of the land he cultivated.

Cain WAS in the land given to him by God. He was a cultivator of the earth. He must have been doing a great job. His weakness wasn’t in his work, his weakness came because he didn’t understand what was taking place through God’s perspective and placement of people. He, the land cultivator. Abel the sheepherder. He allowed jealousy to dominate his space-the land of his heart.

The problem is that the land he was given by God was now echoing the sound of the tears of the blood that was shed. This blood was the life of his brother Abel. Abel wept within the earth which was given to his brother to cultivate. For this reason, because Cain now had blood on his hands and the natural land was given to him, he was no longer able to til this property.

The judgment against him was that he had to leave the domain he was given and now had to wonder in territories foreign to him. It was so hard for him to leave and it was so hard for Cain to live in these unknown regions. He now knew the fear of another kind and told God about it. In the Lord’s mercy, He placed a sign on Cain which announced that if anyone touched Cain they themselves would be cursed. He became a vagabond. He lost his inheritance and lost the field which he was given by God. He now knew another kind of wilderness.

Let’s try to capture this. Jesus did an incredible redemptive work for us when he came to earth. When at the age of thirty He was baptized and empowered by the Holy Spirit through the endowment of the Dove at the Jordan, he was “carried” into the wilderness for 40 days. It is the very wilderness that Cain was sent to. It is the identification of the very wilderness that Adam and Eve now had to learn to til. It was in this wilderness that he dealt with the three areas of sin which humanity had and would learn to overcome thru the duration of their stay on this earth. He came to overcome these sin areas in the wilderness, where they began.

Remember, this is an assignment to take us out. Jealousy wants us to lose ground, to give up, to forget who we are in Father God. “It” has to let go. Read on…

As we said before, this wilderness of the soul was created through the prideful jealousy of Lucifer himself. The very reality that the earth became void – is the expression of the result of his thought of possessing the throne of God. The pride of life, the lust of the eye, the lust of the flesh thrive in the desert place. This desert place of the soul was engaged at the time of separation which took place in the garden through the fall of Adam and Eve. They too embraced the fallacy that something could be possessed without it being given by heaven itself.

Jesus came to pour out the living water on the dry souls and to revive the spirits of mankind. He was about to overcome these three areas of sin, and win the war for His Father’s family. He came to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. He came to settle us into the land of His heart. How beautiful!! Freedom!! After all, we are His family!!!

Jesus the Messiah would overcome this “thing” which kidnapped His family through the full dependence of His Father. This would take place during these forty days. He would accept no help from anything “earthy”; no help from the water within the earth, the cattle of the fields, or the fruit of the land. No earthly food would touch His mouth nor satisfy His body. No strength would come to Him through the partaking of earthly food. No sight would come to Him through the water which gave life to creation itself. He would remain in the desert for 40 days; each day representing one year of the Israelites wonderings in the desert lands. He would win; hence, we were about to receive an incredible inheritance delivered to us from the ONE who would start and finish the race well. He would and did rescue the family for His Father.

You and I know that Jesus refused the bread from Satan, He refused the glory shown to Him by lucifer, He refused dark governing powers. He would wait and receive only that which would come to Him from His Father above. For it is Father who provides for His children. Jealousy is the food of hell itself – thorns. Healing restores – Bread of Life.

Before this moment in time, John the Baptist the forerunner ran ahead of Jesus cultivating the wilderness, bringing it into a place of readiness and fruitfulness thru the declaration of the Good News. He announced the Messiah’s time and works of Salvation. John the Baptist came into the deserts water baptizing. He poured water onto the newly awakened garden of the human flesh, soul, and spirit; establishing a highway in the hearts of men to receive Jesus Christ, the Tree of LIfe. John watered and waited for the Fire of He who would seal the work of heaven on the earth.

In order to do this, God had prepared John. He learned to yield to the Spirit. John walked in the opposite spirit of prideful jealousy. John preferred the bridegroom over himself. Remember John 3?

His disciples asked him,

“Rabbi, He who was with you beyond the Jordan,
to whom you have testified, behold, He is baptizing and all are coming to Him.”
John answered and said, “A man can receive nothing
unless it has been given him from heaven.”
“You yourselves are my witnesses that I said, ‘I am not the Christ,’ but,
‘I have been sent ahead of Him.’
“He who has the bride is the bridegroom, but the friend of the bridegroom,
who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom’s voice.
So this joy of mine has been made full.
“He must increase, but I must decrease….”

In living out this standard of love, John the Baptist redeemed the land of the heart regarding the issue of prideful jealousy by consequently releasing the key of this prison; water of repentance in the desert place.

Following John the Baptist, Jesus Christ the Messiah took the land of our hearts which was a wilderness at the time, cultivating the soil so deeply with His world-changing redeeming fiery love that it became the land flowing with milk and honey. He burned the vegetation making room for the fertilization of His Truth. The invitation has been presented to each of us. It is an invitation for our hearts to receive and come into truth’s reality that we have been placed in the family–within the garden–the land that is flowing with milk and honey.

All of our daily choices; once we believe this is true, can be processed through the knowledge that our feet are on the land of milk and honey and no longer subjected to dry ground. All have been provided for us. What is necessary now is simple– just to come into agreement with HIs Word, to come into agreement with His heart, and to come into agreement with the new covenant which has been given to us–His redeeming, cleansing, strengthening love. Christ is enough. He is in us and in such a precious earth-shattering way roars, “You are my beloved daughter in whom I am well pleased. “You are my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.”

There is no more need to fear rejection. There is no more need to marry into the abandoned land called the orphan spirit. It is God who has not only adopted us but He has called us to Himself a long time ago–before the foundations of the earth. The identity of each of us so is incredible that to adventure into LIFE discovering who we are, and daring to become His is worth every moment of life in the gymnasium (garden) called life.

Instead of the earth now being a foreign place to us, Jesus commanded us saying,

“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.
He who believes and is baptized will be saved;
but he who does not believe will be condemned.
And these signs will follow those who believe:
In My name they will cast out demons;
they will speak with new tongues;
they will take up serpents, and if they drink anything deadly,
it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick,
and they will recover.”
Mark 16:15 – 18

Whatever stronghold we are dealing with, it is a sign that Jesus is right there ready to deliver you and me. Magdalene is one who was possessed with 7 demons, and scripture tells us that, “He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons.” Mark 16:9 In her breakthrough, she was the one God chose to demonstrate His true opinion of a woman. She was used for announcing the reversal of what took place in the garden. She was used to exemplify the new Eve. Whether the demon is jealousy, fear, covetousness, abandoned, orphaned, depression, the lust of the eye, etc…. Jesus is waiting to reveal to us His resurrected reality. It’s time to taste and see that He is good.

A simple genuine “Help me, Jesus,” is all it takes.

Part 3
Spontaneous prayer of repentance and declaration of His life in us and for us is transcribed below. The Lord may lead you into a different personal prayer, but I just wanted to make this one available to you.:

Quoted: “There are some of us who have this condemnation of jealousy within us that says, “‘ This happens to me.’ Let go of the condemnation. Dance it off.’”

“Father we repent, forgive us for our weakness. We want to receive the work of Your blood. You have already atoned for our sins. Father, we ask that You would come and take full authority. We want to submit under Your authority. We say from this day forward that we do not want to look at someone else and bring them under the place of murder, but Jesus we want to release Your brothers and sisters into life. Father, we ask You to help us be delivered from this spirit, which is the opposite of what You have given us. Lord, we repent for resentment. We repent for bitterness. We repent for not seeing what You have given us.

We repent for not seeing what You have given to our sisters. Father, we have been so upset when others have received favor. We have wanted them to be removed from their platform. Lord, we are asking You, to deliver the Middle East from this issue. Father deliver us Your church in the Middle East. Remove death from us and bring us into resurrection power. Father let us have faith in who You have created us to be.

Father, if You never give us a platform again during our lifetime on earth we will be satisfied to walk the lands with no acknowledgment from mankind. We say today, “Help Us, be satisfied to live our entire life in the hidden place–in Your love.”

We cannot come to this point on our own. We need You to come to do this for us. It is You who said, “It is not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.” We ask You to come now in Your Spirit and take that broom at the threshold. Come and burn away that which is not of You. Remove it from the place of our threshold. Burn it from the place of our threshold, so that we can enter into Jesus who is the Door. So that we can enter through the Gate–Jesus Christ Himself.

“Father, I ask that You would do this for every woman and man who is in this room. Let us be a first fruit offering in this nation. Rescue us, Oh God. Rescue us from this hook and pour Your fire upon us. Let us not be seen again, but let Your face be seen in us.””

Exhortation:
“This issue of jealousy makes us lame. It does not let us walk. It does not let us walk through the threshold into new lands. Jealousy works like a cave. We go into the cave and become stuck–we get stuck in thick mud. I have had several attacks of this and didn’t know. It comes like a spirit of death. As my sisters broke this spirit of jealousy off of me, life came back. But, I didn’t know that it came from someone else. We can put another person into prison through jealousy.

The more you are growing into leadership, the more we need to deal with the spirit of jealousy. I believe this is right. But, we need to break this spirit.”

“In Jesus’ name, we break this spirit of jealousy in our spirit, soul, body, conscience, sub-conscience. We break the spirit of death — the spirit of murder and we say, “You have to go! You must leave now in Jesus’ name! Leave our spirit, our soul, our mind, our body by the ordinance of the bloodline of Jesus Christ. We break the curses of jealousy. Every curse that is against our lives. Every curse of death. In the name of Jesus, we speak life. We speak life into your spirit, soul, and body and conscience.”

“We receive Your resurrection power into our womb, Jesus. We receive the wine of your Holy Spirit into our womb now. You are the only one who can direct life. Even as John the Baptist said, ‘We have nothing except that which comes to us from the Father.’ Father, we say, ‘Within our womb, we do not want to receive anything in an ill-gotten fashion, but we want to receive that which comes from Your hand. We receive Your wine of Your Holy Spirit, we receive Your blood, Your life, Your freedom.'”

Father, we ask that You would open up our eyes to see how You see. We want Revelation 3 to be real to us. You told us to buy eye salve. Anoint our eyes that we can see again.”

“We declare that the cave is open. We can now enter new lands..”
